SUMMER SERIES: FIRST FRIDAYS
Celebrate 100 Years of Hamill
JUNE 7: BOOMTOWN
Join us as we kick off our 2019 Summer series. Don't put your Kentucky Derby Hat away just yet, because it will fit just fine with our Victorian celebration of BOOMTOWN -- as gold and silver mining were bringing wealth to the Rockies and the Hamill House was built in 1867. Enjoy wine, beer (cash bar) and appetizers on the lawn, with other Victorian accents, flairs and music.
Suggested attire: Victorian-style hats, mining, saloon girls, cowboys - wild, wild West
**Tickets (include entry, apps & first beer/wine) available online (check back soon) or at Hamill House until Sold Out**
JULY 5: THE GOOD OL' DAYS
Kick back and enjoy the good ol' days, circa 1900s-1940s --think white Edwardian dresses, barbershop quartets, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and soldiers coming home! Enjoy Dixieland Jazz, games, wine, beer (cash bar) and appetizers on the lawn as we celebrate our own country's birthday too, Georgetown style.
Suggested attire: Any period between 1900-1940s
**Tickets (include entry, apps & first wine/beer) available online or at the Hamill House until Sold Out**
AUGUST 2: BEACH PARTY
We wrap it up.....in a beach towel with a 1960s-70s style BEACH PARTY!!! Did you know that the Georgetown Society was incorporated on May 7, 1970? Georgetown Society, which is now Historic Georgetown Inc., was originally proposed in 1969 by founders Ron Neely, Cynthia Wadsworth and John Calhoun to local businessmen Bob Gibbs, Bob Bolander and Wally Baehler. So, let's party down.... and listen to some old-time rock n' roll - "In the Summertime", "Island Girl", "American Pie", "Honky Tonk Women", "Proud Mary", "Spirit in the Sky", "Good Vibrations" and of course "Margaritaville" -and maybe play a little Beach Blanket Bingo or perhaps a Twist contest! We'll be serving dinner and drinks as we transform the Hamill House Lawn to a beach scene.
Suggested attire: Hawaiian shirts, muumuus, flip flops, clamdiggers, bikinis if you dare...
**Tickets (includes entry, dinner & first wine/beer, cash bar) available online or at the Hamill House until Sold Out**
