Join Historic Georgetown, Inc., for a family-oriented,
traditional Victorian-style Christmas celebration at the
historic Hamill House.Your afternoon will include a
dignified welcome and greeting by our Butler,
Caroling with the Silver Plume Singers, A Victorian-style
candle-lighting and reading of "Twas the Night Before
Christmas" in the decorated Library of William Hamill,
Presentation and story of the Yule Log, A visit from
St. Nicholas, and Children’s Parlour Games.
        Service will include light appetizers, dessert table, non-alcoholic beverages, one complimentary wine or beer for each adult 21 or over (cash bar available for additional drinks), wassail/eggnog toast (appropriate for children and adults)Each child 12 and under will receive a small gift.

Join us for a lovely, traditional Christmas Celebration at the Hamill House, home of the Silver Baron, William Arthur Hamill. Originally built in 1867, we decorate in Victorian splendor for the Holiday Season, for all the guests to enjoy. The ceremony includes the lighting of the Christmas Tree, Wassail Bowl Punch with toasts to all aplenty, bringing in of the Yule Log, and libations and a small plate buffet to feast on.
       May you never be without a drop of Christmas, as you sing along with Silver Plume Singers to the carols of old and new. Join us for an evening to remember!

Each December the town of Georgetown transforms for two weekends into a bustling Christmas scene reminiscent of Christmas of long ago. Thousands come to this tiny mountain town to experience a traditional holiday where Christmas hasn't changed in 100 years: roasted chestnuts, holiday shopping, horse-drawn wagon rides through historic Georgetown, and wonderful sights and smells. Visitors enjoy appearances by St. Nicholas in his traditional dress and the daily procession of the Santa Lucia. Carolers in Victorian costume, dancers, and other family entertainment provide hours of memorable performances. Adorned with lights and Christmas greenery and blanketed with snow, the quaint, historic town of Georgetown, Colorado has been a Christmas tradition for generations of Colorado families. 

The 2019 Georgetown Christmas Market will be held the first and second weekends of December and admission is FREE. Christmas Market features an outdoor European marketplace with handcrafted gifts in addition to Georgetown's charming year-round shopping experience. Beautiful and unique shops showcase Christmas ornaments and decorations, Victorian items for the home, art, Colorado wine, rare books, jewelry, exquisite clothing, antiques, and gifts. Christmas Market Museum Tours offer a relaxed way to see the Hamill House, Hotel de Paris and Energy Museums and Georgetown Heritage Center. Docents are on hand to give information or answer questions, but guests may stroll through the properties at their leisure to enjoy the holiday decor. Prices vary.
