The Silver Queen Preservation News, Winter 2006Hamill Park Events Pavillion gets under way this spring |
|
By Sharon Rossino Since first developing the concept of Hamill Park, Ronald Neely had envisioned a building that would provide a small kitchen for catering, a stage for performances and ceremonies, and public restrooms. Such a building would help HGI increase revenue through the rental of the park for private events and receptions. We are proud to announce that the project is now fully funded and approved; therefore, Ron's long-range vision for Hamill Park will be realized this spring with the construction of the Hamill Park Events Pavilion at the northern end of the park. The Georgetown Design Review Commission recently approved the design of Long Hoeft Architects, and the Georgetown Board of Adjustment recently approved our request for a setback variance. This spring will be an exciting time as the full vision of Hamill Park unfolds. |
