Life in Georgetown turns into a festive blur in December, as Christmas
Market and Christmas at Hamill House contribute to the already-crowded
schedule of traditional family activities. But these events are
part of what makes the holiday season in Georgetown so special.
This year 333 people viewed the HGI-owned and private properties
that were on the living-room tour during Christmas Market. A total
of 490 guests enjoyed the Hamill House receptions, including sixty
children who stopped by for cookies after the town tree-lighting
ceremony. At separate events, the Chamber of Commerce, the Hamill
family, and the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department all gathered
for refreshments in the dining room. And a total of 240 guests enjoyed
the four public receptions at the Hamill House. Thus for these people,
plus the thousands who enjoyed the atmosphere of the Market, the
Christmas season began with good cheer and fine spirits.
