Include HGI in your future plans through
'Planned Giving'

By Ronald J. Neely,
President

Vice-Chairman Pauline Marshall is Chairman of the planned giving committee and reports that a new brochure is nearing completion and will be mailed to all our members in the very near future. Our thanks to financial planner Dennis Means, CFP of Denver, and to our legal counsel, Holland and Hart also of Denver, for advising us through this process. A quote from the new brochure is appropriate:

"Financial support of HGI can take two forms: Current Giving, in which the donor makes a gift through membership, an immediate gift of cash, appreciated securities, or other property; and Planned Giving, in which the donor makes a commitment though a bequest or life-income gift to benefit HGI at a future date."

The brochure contains a brief explanation of several methods of planned giving including charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, and charitable lead trusts.

The future of the preservation of this Landmark District and all the qualities it possesses lies largely in what you leave behind. Be thinking of Historic Georgetown, Inc.

Please look forward to receiving this information. Should you have any questions in the meantime, please contact Ron Neely at the HGI office and he will find an answer.
