By Bill Wilson HGI offers several of its properties as wedding sites. For example, a wedding is already scheduled for Labor Day weekend at the Bowman-White House Museum. It will be an outdoor ceremony among the quaking aspens on the combined grounds of the Tucker-Rutherford Cottage, the Johnson Log Cabin, and the Bowman-White House. The wedding party will also have access to the interior of the museum. Another wedding is scheduled for early summer at the Hamill House Museum. Weddings are a wonderful way for HGI to share its historical properties with others, while at the same time earning revenue. In addition to the Hamill House Museum and grounds and the Bowman-White House Museum and grounds, Anderson Park is also available for the 2006 season. Prices vary depending upon the property chosen. By 2007 HGI plans to add Hamill Park to that list. The plan for this summer is to complete a new events pavilion at the park. The pavilion will include catering facilities, a covered stage, and public restrooms, all in the setting of a modern interpretation of a Victorian garden. If you would like to book a wedding or learn more about the available facilities, please call HGI at (303) 569-2840.
