|
The 1999 House Tour, held this past July 16th through the 18th, was attended by just under 1,100 people and was a successful fundraising event for Historic Georgetown, Inc. as well. We gratefully acknowledge Board Vice-Chairman Dana Abrahamson for chairing the event and the following Georgetown residents for opening their homes to the public: Bill and Kathie Wilson, Joyce and Kerry Pedlow, Jane and Harry Robertson, Bob and Connie Primus, John and Sandy Jackson, Rebecca Whittaker, Sharon Smith, and Dick Dorn and Barbara Jackson. In addition we'd like to thank: The Georgetown Energy Museum, The Hotel de Paris, Grace Episcopal Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, The First Presbyterian Church and the Old Georgetown Station for participating in the tour and all the many volunteers who gave their time to guide visitors through the homes and public buildings.
We appreciate the generosity of the Heggum-Lunquist Paint Co of Denver and the Red Ram Restaurant, Georgetown for helping underwrite the House Tour; Board Chairman Mary Riddle Clark and Vice-Chairman Salley Smith for their donation to cover the cost of concessions (as well as their time working and organizing volunteers to staff the concession stand), radio station KEZW, Denver, for sponsorship, Shoppe Internationale for providing floral arrangements; Saint Anthony's Hospital, Denver for hospital booties, Rutherford's Carriage Service for the House Tour Trolley, Loveland Ski Area for providing the shuttle bus Rob Craig for pen and ink drawings of the homes, Arts at Georgetown, Carol Vesterby of Pizza Crossing; and the Town of Georgetown, Georgetown Police Department and the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department. Again thanks to all for an enjoyable and successful House Tour ! |
