Supporters enjoy Wining, Dining,
and Mining event

On Saturday, September 23, Historic Georgetown, Inc. (HGI) hosted the second annual Wining, Dining, and Mining fundraising event on the Georgetown Loop Railroad. Despite the chilly weather, guests enjoyed themselves under the golden aspen trees and lodgepole pines.

The train carried approximately 150 people from Silver Plume down to the site of the Lebanon Mine for a bistro-style BBQ dinner, spirits and hot apple cider, and live bluegrass music by the Jimmy Lewis Band. At the site, experienced guides led the guests on tours of the Lebanon Mine.

All proceeds from the event will benefit HGI and its continuing efforts to protect the historic integrity of the Georgetown-Silver Plume National Historic Landmark District. Special thanks go to our corporate sponsors who helped make the event such a success:
