This Christmas Market season, Georgetown
visitors will experience a home tour like none other. Several homes and
properties, shown below, will be opened to the public for a Victorian
Christmas Living Room Tour. Each home and historic site will be fully
adorned in Victorian Christmas tradition, with natural and traditionally
decorated Christmas trees, greenery and lights. Tickets will be available
during Christmas Market for $12 per person, $5 for children under 12.
The Hamill House, 305 Argentine Street
This beautifully restored home of silver-mine owner William A. Hamill
demonstrates the grandeur of a wealthy 19th-century Georgetown family.
The Hamill property is an excellent example of turn-of-the-century Victorian
finery, with its bay windows, imported burled walnut woodwork, conservatory
and fountains, and opulent décor. Many furnishings in the home
are original to the Hamill family, and the house is decorated for Christmas
as it would have been long ago.
The Jackson/Abrahamson House, 920 Rose Street
This lovely private home has been a popular addition to Georgetown Home
Tours over the last several years. With constant renovating and decorating,
each small room has acquired its own charming personality and inspired
touches. Originally built in the "shotgun" style just before
1880, its second story and another main floor addition were added some
time before 1884.
Victorian Christmas Living Room
Tour tickets are available for purchase during Georgetown's 44th Annual
Christmas Market at Gateway Visitor Center, Georgetown Community Center,
Hamill House, Shoppe Internationale, and Sophie Gally. After shopping
and touring, guests are invited to Grace Hall where a lovely high tea
will be served on antique linens with beautiful tea service and wonderful
treats.

on a regular basis.
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 900 Taos Street
Our Lady of Lourdes church was reconstructed in 1918, after sparks from

of Georgetown Catholic families.
