Bowman-White House, Library

The Library was the center of J. J. White's business world. As a lawyer and the Police Judge (Mayor) of Georgetown, J. J. amassed a large collection of law books and judicial legislation. The original bookcases house J. J.'s books and display his interest in the law and the arts. The paintings in this room save one were all done by Mellie White, who had become quite proficient in oils. The bay window was the setting for a small gathering of plants and during the holiday season, the family Christmas stood there.
