(From History of Montgomery County, Ohio, Washington twp, p276, G977.172 M763 and Ohio death certificate, # 14826, 14 March, 1911, MARY HARTSOCK, [nee WELLER]). 1. JOHN WELLER and ELIZABETH HENDRICKS came to Ohio from New Jersey
about 1818. They had at least eight sons and at least one daughter by
1842, including: Second Generation 11. WILLIAM WELLER was born 30 April, 1816 in New Jersey. He married MARTHA YOUNG 19 March, 1840. They had six children. Four were living and married in July 1881. 12. JOHN WELLER was born 15 April, 1818 in Washington Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. He married MARY ANN ANDERSON, 29 September, 1841. She was one of eleven children of Ephraim Anderson and Sarah. She was born 18 September, 1821 in Washington Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. John and Mary Ann had ten children, seven living in 1881. 13. SAMUEL WELLER was born 29 November, 1826 in Washington Township,
Montgomery County, Ohio. On 16 May, 1854 he married MARY C. KIRBY, daughter
of John Kirby and Margaret Pence. Mary was born in Ohio 29 July, 1834.
Mary's father, John Kirby, was a native of New Jersey and her mother,
Margaret Pence, of Ohio. Samuel and Mary had eleven children: 14. MARY WELLER was born in Ohio, 3 April, 1828. She married SAMUEL
HARTSOCK, 6 January, 1849. They had a son: 131. JOHN C. WELLER died prior to 1881. 132. CHARLES W. WELLER died prior to 1881. 141. PERRY WILLIAM HARTSOCK. (See HERZOG).
