The Henry Hamill Family
FIRST GENERATION
| 1. HENRY HAMILL, a son of a Catholic family of Springfield
Township, Shankill Parish, Barony of Upper Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland,
married ELEANOR (or ELINOR) RICHARDSON. She was the daughter of THOMAS RICHARDSON
and MARY ACHESON8.
She was a (Episcopal?) Protestant. Henry may have died in the "Rising"
of 1798. His wife and son, Thomas Hamill, went to (Liverpool?) England about
the time of the uprising in Ireland. It is unknown if Henry went to England.
Eleanor was a widow for fifty years after Henry died and raised her children
as (Episcopal?) Protestants.
