and notes from William B. Howland, 1989:
1. An unidentified HAMILL apparently had at least one daughter and one
son:
12. (daughter) HAMILL married _______ FEARIS. They apparently had at
least five children:
112. (son) HAMILL 121. Barney FEARIS lived in Philadelphia from at least 1771 to 1819 (48
years). He had at least one child: 122. Pat FEARIS 123. Margaret(?) FEARIS may have been married to MCGIVERN per Barney's letter to McGivern in Dublin, 20 September, 1819. She had two grandchildren. 124. (unidentified daughter) FEARIS married a KENNEDY of Belfast. 125. (unidentified [son?]) FEARIS
Conclusion: If Pat & Barney's father is a FEARIS, then " Hamill" is their mother's brother.
Conclusion: There were at least four Fearis/ Hamill siblings; five if there were two sisters. Barney must have had a brother in America as Pat closes letter with plural ending.
Conclusion: "Uncle Bry" had at least two sons.
Arrival of William Arthur Hamill. Lived with relatives? (probably descendent of Fearis' "Hamill" sister, hence passage thru family of Fearis letters). Worked in either a freight office or shipyard?.
