11. WALTER JOHN BAKER, livestock dealer, was born 19 June, 1859 in South Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio. He lived in Waynesville, Warren County, Ohio with his mother and stepfather, Mary and John Evans. He married ANNA PLANK in Greene County, Ohio, 5 March, 1884. Anna was born 11 September, 1863, in Point Isabel, Grant County, Indiana, (about ten miles south of Marion), a daughter of an (unidentified) ISAAC PLANK42 and RACHAEL LISTON. Walter and Anna had three children:

Walter suffered a cerebral embolism, 1 July, 1935 and subsequently died of cerebral hemorrhage, 6 September, 1935 in Waynesville, Warren County, Ohio. Anna died of pneumonia while suffering from leukemia at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, 16 November, 1941. She had lived at 262 Proctor Street, Dayton. Both Walter and Anna were buried at Middle Run Cemetery, Waynesville, Warren County, Ohio by Stubbs Funeral Home.

Third Generation

111. JESSE FRANCIS BAKER was born in Ohio, 5 January, 1884. He married ETHEL HARTSOCK in Greene County, Ohio, 12 December, 1906. She was born in Wayne Township, Warren County, Ohio, 20 December, 1887, a daughter of Perry William Hartsock and Augusta E. Clevenger. They had four children:

Jesse and Ethel moved their family to Colorado about 1919. They first lived in the San Luis valley, in and near Del Norte. They settled in Denver in 1920 where they lived downtown for a time at the Standish Hotel. They lived at 2535 West 24th Avenue before buying a house at 3345 Bryant Street. Jesse worked as a motorman for the Denver Tramway Company from 6 October, 1920 to 5 September, 1921 when he was discharged. He was rehired 1 December, 1921 and was finally dropped from the rolls in September, 1926 as "on leave - did not return". (This was a time of labor unrest in The Denver Tramway Company). Ethel divorced Jesse after he left her in Denver, 6 July, 192643. Jesse married THELMA L. THOMAS. She was about twenty-two years old. They had a daughter:

Jesse was last seen by his daughter Ada, in Denver, about October, 1933. (His mother's death certificate, filed by Jesse, listed his home as Flora, [Clay County], Illinois as of 16 November, 1941). Ethel died in Denver 25 September, 1965. She was buried at Chappell Hill Cemetery.

1112. ADA GWENDOLYN BAKER was born 24 May, 1910 near Spring Valley, Sugar Creek Township, Greene County, Ohio. She was a telephone switchboard operator in Denver in the 1920s. She married JAMES NORMAN HAMILL in Golden, Colorado 31 August, 1930. They had six children:

Lonnie was in the top ten in two of the first four tournaments the team has played.
